MoviesNatural Born Killers: Mickey and Mallory Knox terrorise the southern states of
America with their gruesome killing spree. The irony, of course, is that the media follows their every move closely, making
them a celebrity couple, just like Sonny and Cher. Story by Quentin Tarantino, this is one of his better films.
Hansel's rating: 5/5
Vera's rating: 4.5/5
The Fantastic Four: This is definately a nostalgia movie for those that have read the comics. Five people
get super powers, one is evil, and besides the brief funny moments, there's basically nothing in this movie that separates
it from every other Hollywood shitfest.
Hansel's rating: 2/5 because there is some humor and lots of fire. (Fire is good)
Vera's rating: 1.5/5 because JESSICA ALBA IS NO INVISIBLE WOMAN! Also, because the moral of the story
is that ugly people should be made fun of and can only get a date if their partner is an open-minded blind person.
Music"What do you know, Deutschland?", by: KMFDM: KMFDM's debut release, broke
through the normal "industrial" stereotype with a new Ultra-heavy beat Industrial-Metal hybrid. The result is an awesome album
which has real potential. At this point, Sascha still hasn't mastered mixing his voice to get it to sound like what
we are used to, but it is still very impressive.
Hansel's favorite song: The Unrestrianed Use of Excessive Force. Metal and Industrial bred together in a seven-minute
clash of noise with a humorous name.
Hansel's rating: 4.5/5. (It's awesome but I am giving them room to grow.)
Vera's favorite song: Kickin' Ass is an awesome some with just a little hint of what they'll be like in the
future. Powerful lyrics like "They only respect you when you're kicking ass" is a maxim in itself, nevermind in the song's
entirety. This is definately my favorite song on the album! (Itchy Bitchy is a close second, though.)
Vera's rating: 4.5/5 I didn't like Sascha's screaming in some of the songs, I felt it was to unrestrained... but I guess
that was the whole idea of
The Unrestrained Use of Excessive Force.
BooksThe Da Vinci Code, by Dan Brown: A university professor
is awoken in the middle of the night with an alarming phone call. Everything basically goes to hell from there. There is many
hours of research put into this book, and the result is an unmistakeable "fuck-you!" to society in general. It is very informative
and a good blend of fact with fiction. You learn the truth behind many stories that were hidden for hundreds of years in an
unbiased, objective way, allowing you to form your own opinions about the book and it's contents.
Hansel's rating: 5/5 (and EVERY Christian on EARTH should read this book)
Vera's rating: 5/5 (it helped me with my Art Exam)
